Speaking of Lily G. Clark bought her a stuff teddy bear holding a present to give to her for Christmas. The present opens up and he put some candy inside. He was too shy and nervous to give it to her because he was afraid some of the kids would see him holding the bear so I ended up giving it to her. She gave Clark a big smile and said thank you. Another sweet experience with these two. The last day before Christmas break, the school had a movie party. Each classroom was showing a different movie. Earlier that week they had to choose and have their parents signed the permission slip of the movie they selected. One of the choices was Home Alone. Clark has seen lots of times and LOVES the movie. When he asked Lily what movie she will be watching she said she picked "Rudolph the Red Nose Reedier" which is not one of Clark's favorite movies but he is so badly wanted to be with Lily during the movie, that he switched his movie so he could be with her. Isn't that the sweetest thing ever!
Last week, Kaeley had a doctors appointment just to check her weight and to see how much she is growing since she has always been on the small size. She now weighs 21.3 lbs. She has gained 1.3lbs in 2 months which according to the nutritionist who weighed Kaeley said that was really good. We stopped for some lunch and I have to say she is the cutest little lunch date ever!
We have had some pretty brutal winter blast come through and it got REALLY cold! We even had a dust of snow which caused the buses to be on snow routes! One day they even canceled snow because there was about 1/8 of an inch of snow BUT the roads were really icy and were causing a lot of accidents. It was a nice relaxing family day for all of us!
One night we were driving to Austin's (Kirk and Steph's oldest) basketball game. We got a flat tire and ran out of gas-perfect! Luckily we had a spare tire and a gas card gift card to save the night! The following day, Brett bought a new tire and a new battery for his car since almost every morning he has to jump start his car.
The Portland Trail Blazers are doing really good this season, they are actually number 1 in the whole NBA! As you can imgaine we don't miss a game in our house! One game night, Brett took Kaeley to Kyle and Emily's house to watch the game with his brothers and Dad. Kaeley was so excited to be the ONLY on to go with dad since she is the one that usually has to stay home while everyone gets to go places. I have never seen her get her socks, shoes and hat on so quickly. She came up to me on her own and said, "Bye mom, I love you!" Then she turned to the stairs and yelled up to Clark and Daisy, "Bye Daisy, Bye Clark, see you later!". She loves her daddy and loves to spend time with him.
Brett is such an amazing dad! Lately, every night before they go to bed, he has been asking the kids how he can be a better dad to them.
