We had The Children's Museum basically to ourselves. The Children's Museum had a new exhibit, "The Circus" so of course we had to go and explore. They had all sorts of large motor acrobatic apparatuses. Kaeley's favorite area of the exhibit was the ticket booth. She was very good at her "job" of handing out tickets to everyone that came through. There are so many other area to explore and we explored them all, over and over again for 3 hours!

Daisy has a star chart at school and once she gets it filled up she gets to choose where to go for her treat. Speaking of Daisy and school, she is doing really well at Portland Arthur Academy. She often gets her work on bulletin board for everyone to see. She chose for her treat, "Green Apple". A self serve frozen yogurt shop. The kids got to pick any yogurt flavor they wanted. There was every topping you can think of and that was the most exciting for the kids. They may have gotten more toppings than yogurt!
Kaeley likes to be part of homeschooling too! Here she is, ready to do an science experiment!
Home school field trip to the Fire House in Happy Valley was the best hands down field trip so far! The firemen were so good with the homeschooling kids. They spent an hour and a half showing everything in the firehouse, where they sleep, eat, office work, workout room, etc and of course the firetruck. The firemen let the kids pick up some of their equipment, showed them what they look like with all their gear on so they won't be scared of them if they were to come to their house in a fire situation. They taught the kids what to do if they were in their rooms when a fire occurred. They taught them to get on the ground where the smoke was less intense and to feel the door handle to see if it was hot before opening it. At the end, they gave the kids their own firefighter helmet, sticker and pencil. A sweet older girl there offered to hold Kaeley for me during the presentation. Kaeley didn't mind at all having her hold her.
