Highlighted Events

So much has happened in the last few week. Trent and Jenny (Brett's brother and his wife) came back from BYU-Idaho where Trent was attending school. Trent will attend PSU and Jenny will be going back to her work. We are glad to have them back. We missed them!

On Monday I went with some of my good friends from church to attend a book signing by Ree Drummond known as Pioneer Woman. We got there at a decent time. We got our tickets to actually meet her. The tickets started at 20 and we were number 250 and they handed out tickets until they reached 320 or something like that. So there were many more people who didn't get any tickets and they had to wait until all the tickets were called then they could get in a line to meet her. When we got to the book store there were no seats available so we had to stand but it wasn't too bad since we were right next to the podium where she would be standing until we were asked to move back so people could walk through the aisles. As soon as we moved back, a bunch of tall ladies came by and stood in front of us. So they had our great view of her but didn't get any tickets so they were there probably until 10 or later to actually get to talk to Ree.

Ree Drummond arrived and everyone cheered. She spoke for a little while and then answered questions. Then they started to call out the ticket numbers. Since we had a long wait we decided to go on a walk around the rest of the mall and get some dinner. We ate at Panera. It was the BEST sandwich I have ever had; expensive, but so so so good!! When we got back to the bookstore we were about 100 tickets away until our turn. By then people had left and there were seats available to sit down. I started reading Ree Drummond's blog about two months or so ago, so I didn't know her as well as other people there but it was still exciting to actually meet her since I would continue to follow her blog. She was so nice and down to earth.

On the way to the book signing! :)

Is it weird that I have never heard of Ree? But sounds like fun though
