Caudle Christmas 2013

This year we spent Christmas Eve with the Caudle Family.  We all gathered at Dave and Diane's house around 3pm.  We gather later in the afternoon so all the graveyard workers (which is everyone except Brett) could sleep.  We had our traditional meal of clam and corn chowder, veggies, crackers/cheese balls, and other finger food.  Dave created couple of Christmas games such as "how well you know Santa" and when certain Christmas songs came out.  Kyle and Clark were on a team together and they won.  Kyle got Hamburger Helper meal and Clark got a Santa doll.  We did our exchange gifts to each other next.  Brett had Stephanie this year and I had Kirk so we combined our gifts together into one.  In the past when they had us they made a scrapbook type gift so that is what we did back to them but we also made up a song along with it too.  We took the song, "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music and changed the words to fit things that they like.  Brett played the guitar and sang the song he wrote and I turned the pages of the scrapbook that I made.  They really liked it and everyone laughed.  Jenny gave to me and she created the most beautiful art piece for me.  She got most beautiful black frame and black background with vinyl words, "Families Can Be Together Forever" with a vinyl picture of the temple.  I love love it and it looks great in our home!  We took family pictures of everyone in Santa hats too.
